Over the past decade, I’ve sold everything from tech to real estate, and one thing I’ve learned is this: sales doesn’t have to be scary or complicated. With the right plans, preparation, and mindset, closing deals can actually feel easy—and maybe even fun!

  • How I Got Into Sales


    I started my career in PR, where my favourite part of the job was the “sell-in” – convincing journalists to cover a story.

    Seeing my work in print the next morning was such a rush that I realised I was drawn to the thrill of persuasion and results.

    That excitement led me to roll the dice on a sales job, and I’ve never looked back. I landed a role at a FTSE 250 company in the City of London, where life was fast-paced, competitive, and truly survival of the fittest. I thrived on the energy of chasing and closing deals, driven by the unbeatable feeling of getting the sale.

  • My Time in Sales


    Throughout my career, I’ve worked in both new business development and account management, but it was the thrill of new business that captured my focus.

    While many find it intimidating, I embraced it, drawn to the challenge. Sales wasn’t easy—I had to learn as I went, picking up the basics from training but mastering the craft by studying top billers, sharing insights with colleagues, and absorbing lessons from podcasts and books.

    I stayed true to myself, never resorting to bad sales tactics. I kept pushing through tough sales slumps while staying grounded during the highs, which helped me build a reputation for honest, effective selling.

  • Getting into Training & Speaking


    Over time, I found myself naturally mentoring others who wanted to get into sales but felt intimidated by the process.

    I showed them how simple it could be with the right foundations and honest techniques. The first time I saw someone succeed because of what I taught them, it reignited the same satisfaction I felt when closing my first deal.

    Now, I train salespeople to build successful careers without the pressure of being the loudest person in the room or using outdated, aggressive tactics. Sales doesn’t have to be scary—you can be yourself, be honest, and still thrive in this industry.
